My current bf and I both have our exes on facebook, and we both got out of long term relationships only about 6 months before we met, but there were still loose ends with the relationships up until a month before we met. If this were me, I'd tell him about the farm, and then say, "and I'd like to do something just the two of us, too," and then drop it for a while.
